I'm Monica. Nice to meet you. I live in Temecula, CA a little bedroom community right outside of San Diego. I am very happily married to Ed (the ragin' Cajun, he makes the best gumbo and gives the best hugs!). He is a chef on a sportfishing boat. This means he is gone at least 20 days or more a month, for at least nine months out of the year. Some of you may think that we have a sweet set-up, and that absence makes the heart grow fonder… Before you go wandering off into a blissful daydream about having a man without the mess, I need to tell you that we have two boys. Noah is My mom moved us from New York to Los Angeles when I was twelve years and my sister was eleven. We stayed in LA for about a year and then we moved to San Diego. My mother was on drugs for most of my teenage years and I was very promiscuous during this time of my life. She met a rich man and he kept her high on coke and us out of the way, with money. I will definitely write about that time in my life because it has shaped the way I look a life. My mom had a seizure on June 3rd, 1998. She suffered a brain injury because her heart stopped and she was without oxygen for a very long time before the paramedics were able to get to her. She was in a vegetative state for seven years. On Christmas Eve in 2005, my mom passed away. I lived in Florida for a few years and really fucked up. I will definitely be writing about that shit… Somehow I managed to get it together… I met my husband while working for a courier company. He was a driver and I was a dispatcher. We were together for seven years before we got married. I love him to death. He is an awesome husband. I love music especially jazz, sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights in the desert, Gebera daisies, wine, tequila (straight, no lime, no salt and no chaser!) and dirty martinis. I read the Wall Street Journal. I shop discounts and try to recycle. I wandered through life doing different things. Most of the things I did, I do not regret. I have to say experience is life's best teacher and I have a lot of experience…So this website is about life as I see it and waiting for…what happens next.three four and Reese is two three.
I am not the best housekeeper, my kids are in daycare and they sometimes eat Tyson chicken nuggets and Easy Mac for dinner! Had to cut that shit out! It was fucking up my kids! So, preservatives and food colorings are out and fruits and veggies are in! They get a bath every night and always wear clean clothes. I tell them I love them every day. I kiss and hug them every chance I get!
I was born in the Bronx. My father died when I was two years old. My mom raised my sister and me with help from her 15 brothers and sisters. We have a huge family! As I child, I was sexually molested by a few different men. Maybe I will write about it and maybe I won't. Who knows? I know one thing for sure, I am like a hawk when it comes to my kids and I will not give anyone the opportunity to hurt my children.
